6 Month Contract (May extend or convert to permanent)
$40/hour W2
Weekdays and Weekends (5 days on, 2 days off)
Position Details:
- Perform short- and long-term cell culture experiments of established process protocols to support MS&T activities.
- Work closely with other MS&T team members, participates in and contributes to experimental design, data analysis and report development.
- Support new technology evaluation and process optimization/scale up to improve GMP production.
- Participate in technology transfer from CMC Development Groups or other company sites to GMP operations.
- Assist in lab material inventory and equipment management & maintenance.
- Support protocol and report development.
- Consistently completes work effectively and efficiently.
- Communicates effectively with line manager and group members.
- Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
Requirements:
- BS or MS degree in biology, bioengineering, or related scientific field with relevant experience of 3 years for BS & 1 years for MS or PhD.
- At least 1 year of experience with human-cell culture, preferably with stem cells.
- Solid working experience in mammalian-cell culture with excellent aseptic skills.
- Experience with cGMP manufacturing, process automation, and technology transfer a plus.
- Able to develop, revise, and review SOPs, protocols, batch records, process development and technical reports a plus.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent planning and organization skills.
- Attention to detail and good record-keeping.
- Able to manage priorities and maintain timelines for multiple projects in a fast-pace setting.
- Ability to work effectively independently, as well as part of a team
- Able to work in the weekend
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to execute protocols and summarize results independently.
- Knowledge and direct experience in various cell culture platforms including both adherent and suspension cell culture systems.
- Prior knowledge or experience in stem cell biology a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong planning and organization skills
- Good documentation practices.
- Able to work flexible hours
- Able to work in weekends.
