Senior Accountant
6 Month Initial Contract
Cambridge, MA (Hybrid - Tues & Wed Onsite)
Pay: $55-60/hr
MUST HAVE CPA
4/15 start date goal!!!!!!!
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries.
Perform account reconciliations and flux analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
Support month-end and quarter-end close activities by analyzing financial data and preparing necessary reports.
Work with large datasets in Excel, utilizing advanced functions to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements to maintain financial integrity.
Assist with audits by preparing supporting schedules and documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA certification required.
Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, with 2 years of experience in Big 4 public accounting
Experience with posting journal entries, preferably in SAP S4/HANA ERP system
Prior public accounting experience and knowledge of internal controls/SOX is preferred
Comfortable working in excel and large sets of data
Responsible for preparation of account reconciliations and flux analysis to support month end and quarter end accounting close
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience preparing journal entries
Account reconciliations month end close process
SAP experience
Life Science/Biotech/Pharma experience
Salary : $55 - $60
