Location: Cambridge, MA - Onsite 2 days per week


KEY - Looking for candidates to have come from a smaller company and been through commercial build.


MUST HAVE

  1. Career experience in mid - small size Biopharma
  2. Commercial build out experience, within the last 5 years
  3. Extensive experience in developing long and short term Incentive compensation plans
  4. Global (EU and US) experience


Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a comprehensive, global total rewards strategy that is fully aligned with company's vision, values and corporate strategy that motivates performance, and supports the attraction and retention of critical talent. Early focus on US and EU.
  • Conduct a global Total Rewards assessment, market analysis, and monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation and benefits plans, policies, guidelines, processes and technology as well as market trends in order to stay current and competitive with needs of the organization, leadership and employees.
  • Lead successful annual compensation planning including but not limited to execution of base salary, bonus, short and long term incentives, benefits and all related communications and administration.
  • Benchmark sales incentives, in collaboration with Finance and Commercial Operations, and drive the design and implementation of company sales compensation plans.
  • Support key members of leadership and Board of Directors (BOD) by providing data, analysis, insights and expert guidance to drive recommendations and informed decisions around executive compensation, non-executive compensation, and other topics of interest to the Leadership, Compensation Committee and the BOD.
  • Provide thought leadership to the business on compensation issues including new hire packages, performance recognition, incentive plans, retention arrangements and overall compensation structure.
  • In partnership with Finance, establish compensation budgets and guidelines for all company locations, globally.
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive total rewards communication and education plan with simple tools that can be used by recruiters, candidates, and employees to effectively communicate all aspects of a Total Rewards compensation package and tell the value story of company.
  • Oversee vendor and consultant relationships for compensation, benefits, and HR operations; negotiate services and manage costs within budget.
  • Partner with IT to develop and implement ongoing HR technology strategy, roadmap, and improvements/advancements for HR systems and operations.


Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of experience in designing, developing Total Rewards strategy including the implementation of compensation and benefits programs in a fast-growing organization with competence in global compensation (including US sales compensation), benefits (US & Global), and HRIS.
  • A strategic thinker with demonstrated experience in developing creative solutions to complex problems, strong partnering and influencing skills, adept at collaborating and communicating with all levels inside an organization, including the C-Suite and Board Directors
  • Executive compensation experience including engagement with the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors.
  • Technical and deep subject matter experience in overall competitive compensation positioning, short and long-term incentive design (including sales incentives), equity management, SEC regulation, executive agreement design, compliance, market analysis, to create innovative, competitive, equitable and inclusive programs that contribute to a great company culture.
  • Financial acumen; understands short- and long-term financial impact of Total Rewards practices, and able to prepare and oversee the presentation of relevant financial data to a senior audience.
  • Strong understanding of interdependencies in program and systems design, legal and tax and financial implications of all compensation elements (base, bonus and equity)
  • Ability to distill complex information into key messages, clearly and simply communicating in a compelling way to all level of an organization
  • Experience in leading large-scale projects, comfortable driving change and embracing innovation in the face of ambiguity and complexity.
  • A leader who is values-driven, and who is able and willing to work at all levels; who can perform as an individual contributor while leading a team.

Salary : $280,000 - $325,000
