Job Description:
Rapidly growing, exciting company seeking a customer service-oriented Accounts Payable Supervisor to join a dynamic team with a great culture.
Seeking a proactive leader with a strong background in accounts payable (AP), problem-solving, and customer service. Experience supporting teams, especially with offshore teams is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a solid mix of technical accounting skills (such as debits/credits, reconciliations) and the ability to lead and support a team effectively.
- Best Experience:Prior leadership experience, ideally with a smaller team.
- Background in accounts payable (AP), problem-solving, and customer service.
- Experience with team support functions such as training and issue resolution, especially with offshore teams like Team India.
- A blend of technical accounting skills (e.g., debits/credits, reconciliations) and leadership capabilities.
- Job Requirements:5 years of full-cycle AP experience, with 2 years in a Lead or Supervisor role required.
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
- Ability to supervise, coach, mentor, train, and evaluate team performance.
- Comfortable solving technical and non-technical accounting problems related to AP processes.
- Proficient in managing time in a deadline-oriented environment with speed and accuracy.
- Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance is preferred but not required if the candidate has equivalent experience.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, with skills including pivot tables, V-lookups, and creating complex spreadsheets.
- Experience with ticketing systems, expense systems, and payable systems is highly desirable.
- Personality Requirements:Strong communicator, both written and verbal, with excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with facilities, teammates, and external vendors.
- High energy, approachable leader who fosters collaboration and provides encouragement to the team.
- Able to prioritize tasks effectively, explain the "big picture," and support the team in achieving goals.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and flexible enough to adapt to changing priorities, including participating in Zoom calls with remote teams.
- Self-motivated, with initiative and ownership of processes requiring minimal oversight.
- Ability to supervise, coach, mentor, train, and evaluate work results
