Bedford, MA - Hybrid 3 days onsite, 2 days remote

Required:

• BA Degree in accounting
• Advanced with Excel – experience with manual reporting
• External reporting experience 10k and 10 q
• ERP system experience (large systems like sap or oracle)

• SEC filing experience
• Biotech or Pharma industry experience
• Life science, biotech, or pharma industry experience
• MBA or CPA
• SAP or SAC experience
• Big 4 experience

Job Description:

The Senior Accountant, SEC & Financial Reporting will work with management, the Senior Accountant, SEC & Financial Reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of the Form 10-K, 10-Q and financial information related to the quarterly earnings releases ensure timely filings
• Prepare month end consolidation reports in SAP S/4 HANA including cash flow statement and ensure timely completion to meet internal and external reporting requirements
• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, including debt, stock compensation, equity, lease, intercompany accounts, for month end close.
• Prepare company earnings release documents, including adjusted results and investor materials
• Partner Cross-functionally with FP&A on internal reporting and assist with preparation of monthly CFO/CEO packages and Board materials as well as budget/forecast support. Works closely with Legal and Investor Relations on the preparation of quarterly earnings release materials and other public-facing financial documents.
• : Research recently issued technical US GAAP and SEC pronouncements, evaluate risks and implications to the organization and assist in preparation of technical memos
• Maintain strong internal controls and documentation over areas of responsibility, and support internal and external audit requests
• : participate in other company projects or complete ad-hoc tasks as requested

Job Requirements

• Demonstrated advanced technical working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC accounting/reporting rules
• Experience working in or auditing a SOX compliant environment required
• Willingness to be flexible on work hours including night/weekends if needed to meet deadlines
• BA/BS degree in Accounting; CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• 3-5 years accounting experience
• recent public accounting experience preferred
• Working knowledge of manual and automated accounting and reporting systems
• Working knowledge of international consolidated financial statements

Will assist in several aspects of the monthly close, consolidation, internal controls, internal management and SEC reporting processes including; preparation of the monthly consolidation and assist with internal management reporting packages; preparation of monthly journal entries; perform technical accounting research, analysis and communication; and, assist management in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures and controls across the organization.
