What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Manager position at Planet Protection Initiative?
As our Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for creating, curating, and managing content across multiple social media platforms. Your goal is to increase engagement, grow our audience, and inspire action towards climate justice and sustainability. You will also need to participate in a monthly meeting. We may meet more than once a month in certain circumstances. If you can't join for whatever reason, please email the head, Isaac Tate, about it in advance. You are not expected to do all of these. Different social media managers will do different things, depending on which are already being done.
Key Responsibilities :
Content Creation & Management
- Develop and implement a social media strategy aligned with PPI’s mission and goals.
- Create engaging, educational, and visually appealing content (graphics, videos, infographics, reels, and posts) for platforms like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Write compelling captions, blog excerpts, and calls-to-action that encourage interaction and activism.
- Schedule and publish content using social media management tools.
