What are the responsibilities and job description for the Python Developer with AI Experience position at Planet Technology?
Planet Technology has partnered with a Dallas area company to locate a Python Developer with GenAI and Azure experience for a contract role. The position is local to Dallas and requires the successful candidate to be onsite 2-3 days a week.

The ideal candidate will have strong Python development experience, a deep understanding of GenAI frameworks, and proficiency in deploying scalable applications on Azure.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python.
- Implement and optimize Generative AI models, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Deploy and manage AI/ML solutions on Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Machine Learning, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service).
- Develop robust integrations with cloud-based services and databases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and frontend developers, to deliver AI-driven applications.
- Optimize and troubleshoot backend performance and security issues.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in AI/ML, cloud computing, and best coding practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in Python with experience working with AI projects.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain).
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure, including Azure services like Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure Key Vault.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
- Experience with cloud databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data pipelines.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
- Familiarity with AI ethics, security considerations, and compliance standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate
