Job Overview
PlanetArt is looking for a Quality Control Supervisor to support the company’s Quality department in our Woodridge facility. The successful candidate will be a dynamic, self-motivated employee who is interested and open to new ideas, opportunities, and challenges. What You’ll Do:
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to work in the QC function and inspect items coming from our vendors to ensure our products comply with specifications and expectations
- Supervise a team of quality control inspectors across inbound, in-process, and final inspection.
- Determine and distribute assignments, responsibilities, and priorities for quality control personnel.
- Input, monitor and analyze inspection data and drive achievement of metric goals.
- Drive root cause and corrective action for systemic issues and other quality investigations.
- Communicate across disciplines (Production, Sourcing, Product development.) to enable daily operations.
- Validate order accuracy using Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Accurately perform QC audit process in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, without damaging items
- Utilizing provided data to review, analyze and propose, or take corrective action to resolve issue at hand

Requirements
What You should Have
Skills, Qualifications and Requirements
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to fluently communicate in English both verbally and in written form with staff on all levels and departments
- Ability to use excel and Microsoft word
- Experience using High Jump WMS, preferred
- Ability to focus on minute details over a long period of time
- Ability to prioritize work against tight timelines, operate with a sense of urgency and perform well under pressure
- Must pass entry level matching test.
What You Can Expect
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in a warehouse environment with moderate noise levels
- May be exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and involves frequent and sustained walking, bending, squatting, standing and heavy lifting up to 30 lbs. in varying temperatures.
- Extended hours including scheduled 10- and 12-hour days as well as scheduled weekend hours during all peak periods. May be required to transfer to 2nd shift during peak periods.
Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $19 - $20 per hour.
