The ideal candidate will:
- Have a strong background in accounting in a manufacturing and global sales environment at a controller level

- Have experience in Global Shop (our ERP) - this is a plus, but not a requirement.
Objectives for this role:
- Ensure a robust and efficient operating and business controls environment for the company and that all work is compliant with GAAP, relevant federal/state/local/international laws and guidelines, and applicable best practices.
- Accounting processes, tools, and systems
- Banking, cash management, and expense management
- Spend and approval policies
- Journal entry and G/L management
- Audits of 401k and Insurance data
- Ensure timely delivery of accurate financial reports at monthly close, in accordance with GAAP, relevant federal/state/local laws and guidelines, and applicable best practices.
- Oversee the Chart of Accounts
- Ensure timely and accurate state/local/federal and where needed international tax filings, working with appropriate 3rd party partners to complete the filings.
- Financial modeling and budget creation
- Maintain appropriate documentation and records for all work, in accordance with GAAP, laws/requirements, and best practices.
- As required, develop and maintain reporting to inform business action, including budget/variance, inventory management, etc
- Lead and develop the team and the accounting function

Physical Setting:
- Office: Full-time at site in Adrian Michigan preferred, but remote with travel (min 1-2 weeks/month) may be available to highly qualified candidates with a history of success in hybrid work environments
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 8-hour shift

- Adrian, MI 49221: Relocate before starting work (Required)
Work Location: In person
Salary : $87,427 - $120,000
