AutoCAD Specialist/ Short Term -Contract opportunity
(Must be local to the Morris County area of New Jersey, this is an onsite opportunity)
Rate: $50.00 hr.
PlanITROI is immediately seeking a skilled AutoCAD Specialist for a 2/3-week project. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AutoCAD software, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to create precise technical drawings. This role involves collaborating with various departments to design, draft, and modify engineering and architectural drawings to meet project specifications and deadlines.
What we need: PlanITROI is seeking an AutoCAD expert to work with our leadership for 2/3 weeks on the layout of a new manufacturing facility with process flow etc.
Will need to build out departments, equipment, and production lines to include workstations, racks, electrical, network, and airdrops.

Key Responsibilities
- Drafting and Design: Create detailed technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software based on specifications provided by engineers, architects, and project managers.
- Revisions and Updates: Revise existing drawings to reflect changes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and company guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide drafting support.
- Quality Assurance: Review and verify drawings for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to standards before submission.
- Documentation: Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and related documents.
- Technical Support: Provide AutoCAD support and troubleshooting for team members, assisting with software issues and best practices.
- Training: Conduct training sessions for team members to improve their proficiency with AutoCAD.
- Educational Background: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an AutoCAD Specialist or in a similar role.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD software with a strong understanding of drafting principles and standards.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in creating and reviewing drawings.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with other CAD software
- Knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulations.
- Certification in AutoCAD or related drafting software.
