Description
As our Investment Analyst I, you will have the position of providing extensive support for the Investment Department, including assisting in the implementation of the firm’s asset allocation process and strategy, market and economic information gathering, conducting fund analysis, and producing periodic written communications.
Salary Range:
Starting salary is typically between $60,000 and $80,000 annually, however, it is ultimately determined by the scope of the position the candidate’s relevant experience, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, a generous benefit plan is included with medical, dentail, vision, 401(k) company match, PTO, and much more.
Location: This position is located in our headquaters in Carpinteria, CA
Responsibilities
- Investments:
- Conduct thorough due diligence on existing and prospective fund investments, including analyzing fund strategy and composition, evaluating performance and key statistics, analyzing the fund category and benchmark, and reviewing prospectuses and other key fund documents, to assist in the decision-making process
- Participate in meetings with fund portfolio managers and family fund representatives
- Monitor, update, and analyze economic and market data and charts
- Complete research and custom reports as needed
- Assist in the production and review of the department’s written communications, presentations, portfolio reporting, and other regular deliverables
- Marketing/Sales:
- Fulfill ad hoc investment-related requests from other departments
- Research and prepare responses for rep and client questions and other due diligence requests
- Maintain investment allocations in internal systems and interface with trading department in trade execution

Education
- 0-3 years of prior related experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics
- Proficient in use of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, advanced Excel and Python skills highly preferred
- Experience with Morningstar, YCharts, and Bloomberg platforms a plus
- Foundational understanding of financial markets and economic data
FINRA Series 65 License is required or completed within 120 days of hire
