Home Health Aide (HHA) Externship with Indiana State Certification
Program Overview & Requirements:
- Program Value: $2,997, offered at no cost* to qualified applicants. Failure to successfully complete the program will require repayment, unless waived by PlanMerica in writing. Full details will be included in the program enrollment agreement for accepted applicants. Important Note: THIS OPPORTUNITY IS UNPAID.
- Includes:
- 60 hours of online theory training (State Requirement),
- 16 hours of hands-on training (State Requirement),
- 1 hour of COVID-19 safety training,
- 30-Day Unpaid Externship under the instruction and supervision of the PlanMerica Clinical Nursing Team,
- Core A/B Medication Administration Training
- Two-Year American Red Cross Certification for Adult and Child First Aid, CPR, and AED,
- Qualified graduates who successfully complete the training program within 45-60 days of their enrollment date will receive TOP Tier Preferred Candidate status to apply for employment with PlanMerica companies.
- Requirements: Applicants must apply for enrollment, pass an initial interview screening, pass a background check, pass a physical examiniation, and meet state training standards. Additionally, availability for practicum assignments ranging from 4-12 hours on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts during the externship is required. Adhere to all state/federal laws and company poilcies. Attend an onboarding orientation and complete the entire program within 45-60 days or less.
