About our Events and Engagement Manager position

The Events and Engagement Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategy, planning, and execution of all fundraising events, both in-person and virtual, for Planned Parenthood Great Northwest, Hawai’i, Alaska, Indiana and Kentucky (PPGNHAIK) and Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates (PPAA)
What you will be doing!
Partnering with the Director of Annual Giving, Director of Philanthropy, Gift Officers, and PPAA team to develop and implement comprehensive strategies for in-person and virtual fundraising events across our six-state affiliate – Alaska, Hawai’i, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, and Washington.
Managing the complete lifecycle of fundraising events to ensure alignment with broader fundraising and stewardship goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Leading collaboration with teams, executive leadership, volunteers, and board members to strategize and execute donor events and engagement initiatives.
Managing and optimizing the annual events and engagement calendar for the Development department, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and donor expectations.
Overseeing all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, audio/visual needs, contract support and vendor relationships, and logistics for both in-person and virtual events.
Securing in-kind donations of goods and services to enhance event resources and maximize event impact.
Preparing and delivering comprehensive events and project status reports to key stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Collaborating with printers, designers, and internal teams to develop compelling event branding, including invitations, marketing materials, and on-site collateral.
Serving as the primary point of contact for fundraising events, fostering relationships and addressing inquiries related to event activities and engagement opportunities.
Developing and implementing training for staff and volunteers during events, ensuring clarity in roles and responsibilities and coordinating with Human Resources & Equity as needed.
Working with the Development Operations team to manage landing pages, ticketing, event software, and event tracking in Raiser’s Edge to ensure accurate data capture and analysis of participation and outcomes.
Staying informed on industry trends, venues, vendors, and technologies in event management to continually improve event strategies and attendee experiences.
Overseeing all aspects of fundraising and engagement events, including audience identification, reservations and sales, task delegation, budgeting and expense management, day-of coordination, and follow-up acknowledgment.
Collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure seamless execution of all event components.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in non-profit event management, preferably within fundraising.

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events and tasks simultaneously.
Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience in communications, marketing, or community relations preferred.
Experience with event management software, ticketing platforms, and donor tracking systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge).
Creative and resourceful, with the ability to adapt and innovate as needed to enhance event experiences.
Strong budget management and financial oversight.

Salary Range:
$58,820 - $115,333

Position Type:
Remote- Exempt - Full-time
