Pay: The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,750-$90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant work experience, the skills required for the role, internal equity, market competitiveness, and budget considerations. Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Shift times: Primarily Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm. Occasional evenings and weekends for events.
Location: Remote with regular in-person donor meetings and occasional fundraising events.
Job type: Exempt
Travel: Regular travel around Twin Cities metro area to meet with donors.

Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Development, Major Gifts, the Major Gifts Officer performs a wide variety of functions. The Major Gifts Officer works to qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects who are capable of making gifts of $25,000 or more to achieve a set annual fundraising goal. This position is responsible for managing a portfolio of individual donors, soliciting annual, endowment, and planned gifts in support of health care, education, and advocacy and political programs. Major Gifts Officers are advocates in implementing our mission of “Advancing and protecting sexual and reproductive healthcare for all.” They may perform other related duties as assigned.

- Minimum three years of fundraising experience with demonstrated success in raising funds from individual donors
- Willingness and ability to travel within the region and work occasional evenings and weekends as necessary
- Valid driver’s license & ability to provide proof of vehicle insurance
- Achieve individual fundraising goals and strategically use moves management to maximize revenue and donor retention.
- Organize and implement strategies to qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of major and planned gift prospects.
- Maintain an active schedule of donor engagements, maximizing direct donor interaction when possible.
- Develop customized briefing documents, solicitation materials, proposals, correspondence, and gift acknowledgements, all informed by a consistent, well-articulated case for support.
- Create and implement stewardship plans for donors in portfolio giving at leadership levels.
- Serve as an ambassador for PPNCS throughout the region.
- Manage and track donor relationships and proposals in Raiser’s Edge.
