Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio is seeking mission-minded Associates to join us as full time (37.5 per week) Health Care Assistant to serve our patients at our Cleveland area Health Centers. *This is a floating position
SUMMARY
The Health Care Assistant (Float) will provide patient-centered care and administrative support while floating across clinics in a specified region. This position plays a key role in ensuring quality patient care, providing general health and contraceptive information, assisting with medical procedures, and delivering excellent customer service.
This position requires strong communication and customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide clients with accurate information about services, including contraception options and funding sources.
- Greet and prepare patients for exams, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Assist with medical procedures, minor surgical procedures, and laboratory testing, including venipuncture.
- Collect and record patient medical and social history, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Administer medications as permitted within scope of practice.
- Perform clerical duties such as scheduling, canceling, and rescheduling appointments, as well as preparing and maintaining patient medical records.
- Competently utilize the computerized client information system for appointment scheduling, visit documentation, and fee collection.
- Maintain the cleanliness of exam rooms and ensure medical supplies are stocked.
- Handle medical waste and follow all safety protocols, including OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA regulations.
- Work collaboratively with providers, health center staff, and administration to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Work in the Customer Contact Center 1(day) a week or more, either from a health center or remotely from home. All necessary equipment and training will be provided for Contact Center duties.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Strong spoken and written communication skills.
- 1-2 years advanced education or technical training preferred
- Experience in a healthcare setting desirable
- Family planning experience preferred
Salary : $19 - $22
