POSITION TITLE: Director of Security & Facilities
LOCATION: Hybrid-Remote/on site - Travel across ME/NH/VT
HOURS: Full Time 37.5 hrs/wk, Salaried
POSITION PURPOSE: the Director of Security & Facilities directs the design, planning, and maintenance of the organization’s facilities and physical security functions as well as develop and maintain security protocols, tools, and trainings. This position is an integral role in maintaining a safe & secure work environment for employees in addition to patients seeking critical health care services.
\n- Security Functions
- Lead an affiliate culture that incorporates safety and security mindsets into all protocols; including trainings, tools, and technology
- Maintain cooperative working relationships with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies
- Record and report out all incidents to management team, PPFA, law enforcement, and other necessary stakeholders
- Develop, implement, and evaluate trainings and drills for all staff
- Lead Security Team and Rapid Response Team to handle issues as they arise and communicate effectively to management and staff; manage Crisis Response Plans per incident
- Facilities Functions
- Project manage all aspects of facility changes, e.g., renovations, new locations, relocations, closures, etc.
- Develop organization wide facility maintenance plan and department work plan
- Primary point of contact for Facilities Management vendor
- Coordinate annual capital budget and help sites budget for planned non-capital improvements to facilities
- Monitor all sites annually for adequacy of layout, cleanliness and safety of the facility; monitor all sites for compliance with ADA guidelines and initiate corrective action as needed; perform annual facility and security inspections
- Monitor facility lease contracts and negotiate lease renewals
- Assists with facility related needs in three states
- General Functions
- Complete all responsibilities according to established protocols, policies and standard practices in the areas of customer service, quality assurance and regulatory compliance programs such as HIPAA (Health Information Portability & Accountability Act), OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) and CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Administration)
- Incorporate customer satisfaction into all aspects of operations
- Demonstrates understanding of and comfort with all services provided by PPNNE
- Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork, understand that staffing needs and schedules fluctuate, which will require flexible work schedules and/or additional work hours

- Pay Range - Candidates with 5-7 years of experience can expect to earn between $80,000/yr - $90,000/yr, based on level of experience a candidate brings.

- 5-7 years’ experience with facilities management, physical security planning, and procurement
- Ability to maintain systems to coordinate and facilitate work flow
- Understanding of building and people safety and security
- Demonstrated understanding of OSHA, ADA and other legal requirements
- Demonstrated skills prioritizing and organizing workload
- Ability to handle discreet, confidential information
- Ability to operate all office equipment
- Team centered cooperative work philosophy
- Physical mobility sufficient to move throughout the
- workspace independently
- Must be able to lift and move heavy boxes, containers, office furniture, etc.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel throughout affiliate as needed
