Production Supervisor

GENERAL OVERVIEW

Plant Life Foods is the production and distribution company for SOHO Juice Co. Plant Life Team Members are primarily responsible for producing, packaging, and distributing plant-based food products to the SOHO Juice locations in Florida. SUMMARY

The Plant Life Production Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and coordinating the activities of the Plant Life production team engaged in assembling, mixing, and storing ingredients. This position is also responsible for overseeing the smooth running of all aspects of production, ensuring high-quality food products are produced by all operating standards. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

· Supervises the operations or parts of the operation with the Operations Manager and other management personnel.

· Maintains effective working relationships with team members (team size 6-20) through open communication, visibility, and involvement to promote a positive working environment that maximizes safety, employee engagement, and productivity

· Maintain sanitation and safety protocols, inspect and oversee the maintenance of facilities, review equipment to ensure proper functioning, keep records of maintenance, complete work orders for needed repairs, and supply storage areas to ensure conformance to standards

· Assists in training new employees and provides ongoing training to existing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the production team

· Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, and resolving problems of food preparation employees

· Accurately track inventory of food and equipment inventories and Xtra Chef systems

· Maintain accurate records of production activities, including output, quality control measures, and any incidents. Generate reports for management as needed

· Estimate supplies, ingredients, or staff requirements to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality

· Manage inventory, ordering, and delivery of Plant Life products

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

· Exposure to a variety of cold temperatures

· Required to stand, sit, stoop, and crouch

· Frequently utilize fine motor coordination in hands and arms, sight, and hearing

· Ability to be on feet all day and perform walking, stooping, and bending functions as required

· Ability to lift 50 lbs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· A high school diploma

· 2 years of supervisory experience in food production

· Demonstrated supervisory and production schedule experience

· Leadership and team-building skills

· Able to handle multiple projects, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet all deadlines

· Experience of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods

· Experience with inventory management

· Passion for plant-based food industry

· Strong organizational and time management skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED

· Knowledge of vegan and gluten-free/allergen-friendly foods and products

· ServSafe® Certification
