The assembler must follow safety procedures, maintain an organized workspace, and collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble switchboard components, including circuit breakers, bus bars, and control panels.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Wire electrical components according to specifications.
- Perform quality checks and testing to ensure functionality and compliance.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments safely and effectively.
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Complete assigned job duties within goal hours.
- Follow additional written and verbal instructions as necessary.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent hand-eye coordination with good eyesight, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors
- Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, assembly prints
- Hold measurements to specific tolerance
- Knowledge of fractions and decimals
- Able to use tape measure, calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Use power and hand tools
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two years’ experience in a production environment preferred
- Basic understanding of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Tow Motor and Overhead Crane Expeirence is a plus
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a production environment
