POSITION TITLE: Night Shift Team Lead
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years’ experience in regulated industry preferred
- High level of mechanical aptitude, specifically the setup, operation and cleaning of complex manufacturing equipment and controls
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to inspire, motivate and train others
- Working knowledge of cGMP’s and Manufacturing SOP’s
- Basic math and computer skills
JOB SUMMARY:
- The Night Shift Team Lead leads the Night Shift people and processes
- Coordinates the activities of the Mixing and Encapsulation Operators to manufacture products as planned in the production schedule and to the specifications and quality standards expected
- Leads and inspires the Team to deliver great results and continuously improve skills and processes
- Works closely with Quality, Maintenance, Sanitation, other Production Teams and Supply Chain to deliver great results
- Maintains equipment and facilities at high sanitary and organizational standards
- Evaluates and continuously develops department Team Members for future career advancement
- Involved in the recruitment of new Team Members
DUTIES:
- Plans and schedules work according to production schedule, assigning tasks to properly trained Operators
- Ensures assigned tasks are completed in accordance with safety and quality standards and to the production schedule
- Identifies training needs and arranges for or conducts training required to ensure that employees can correctly perform assigned job duties and to continually increase skill level
- Actively identifies and supports Continuous Improvement projects to improve processes and Operator skills
- Participates in root cause analysis for safety and quality issues, including defining corrective actions to resolve
- Ensures that all work is performed in accordance with established safety standards, provides instruction on safety procedures, and corrects safety deficiencies
- Orders, or coordinates the ordering of, items needed to sustain operations such as parts, supplies, materials and equipment
- Completes required documentation accurately and in timely fashion in both automated and hard copy formats
- Leads and coordinates equipment changeovers between product types with a focus on continuously improving processes
- Escalates issues that are beyond the scope of authority to leadership for awareness and resolution
- Demonstrates a knowledge of and commitment to learn best in class manufacturing principles and techniques
- Complies with all Company policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as required
WORK LOCATION: Twin Falls
HOURS: Monday - Thursday - 4p - 2:30a, with overtime required as needed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, talk, hear, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel and crouch
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds
