Print Press Operator Assistant
Classification: Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
The print press operator assistant helps set up, operate, and maintain the printing press to produce printed materials. The operator assistant ensures quality and adherence to specifications while troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance. The operator assistant also ensures that the labels ordered are printed and delivered on the requested date. Job efficiency and serving our customers on time with a quality product are top priorities.
Essential Functions:
- Set up and operate the press and finisher
- Perform quality control checks on each job, ensuring that each job meets print quality and color match standards.
- Run printer at an acceptable production rate.
- Deliver print orders according to job ticket specifications.
- Basic understanding of Print/Rip software
- Basic mechanical skills
- Have the ability to troubleshoot technical and mechanical issues
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of printing technologies
- Excellent physical strength and stamina.
- Excellent time management skills
- Maintain high-quality standards
- Interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 months experience working in a printing facility.
- Must be self-sufficient and self-motivated
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and squat.
