Summary/Objective:
PlantBased Innovations is a food manufacturing company focused on yogurts, dairy, and non-dairy cultured products. We are looking for a custodian. Under the supervision of the Sanitation and Maintenance Supervisor, will be responsible for maintaining all areas in a clean, orderly and sanitary manner by performing the following duties. In addition to the Custodial responsibilities this person will also be expected to assist the production team as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect offices, break rooms, bathrooms, production areas, warehouse, and other common areas.
- Notify managers of necessary repairs or shortages of supplies.
- Cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment
- Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors
- Cleaning and stocking restrooms
- Keeping foot-traffic areas clear
- Collect and dispose of trash.
- Provide support to Production Team as needed
Requirements:
- Experience sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors.
- The position requires frequent walking, and standing for extended periods of time, and the performance of physical labor.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry and exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally,
- Must be able to use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
- The position requires full mobility of the back, arms, and legs while performing this job.
- Ability to learn and adapt to changes in the facility.
