Within our investment banking group, our team focuses on providing merger and acquisition services to companies throughout North America and Europe. Since our inception, we have successfully completed more than 250 financial advisory engagements for a wide array of clients in virtually every business sector.

Your role

As an intern, you'll be treated just like our entry level staff. You'll help provide analytical and data driven components for the development of M&A transactions. Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Financial modeling including entering historical financial information, forecasting future periods and developing sound assumptions after checking the model for validity and correctness.
  • Industry and company research and analysis of data.
  • Some preparation of the selling document text which may include the creation of charts and other visuals, financial data and formatting.
  • Additional written communication responsibilities may include involvement in assembling, developing, and/or editing information requests, due diligence lists, confidentiality agreements, engagements letters, proposals and management presentations.

The qualifications

  • Detail-oriented student with problem solving, communication, and analytical skills
  • The ability to work independently and also in a team environment, with a high degree of initiative, poise, and confidentiality
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities; driven to succeed
  • Solid technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Preferred: Prior accounting or finance related internships

Education

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance at an accredited college or university.
  • Academic success (a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0).
  • Completion of introductory accounting and finance courses.

This is a non-exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week. This position may require some local travel.

Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) Information

Compensation information posted is based on a position being located in the state of CO. Please review position location for applicable geographic location.

Colorado hourly rate range is as follows:

$31.00 to $31.00
We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package. Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week. Highlights include health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance. These standard offerings are effective on the first of the month following your start date. In addition to this, eligible staff are able to take advantage of our Flexible Time Off and various pre-determined holidays as well as a balance fund, 401(k) plan, flexible benefits plans, business-related travel expense, lodging and meal reimbursement for business-related use. A Pension plan is also available for eligible administrative and paraprofessional staff. A discretionary bonus plan is available for eligible staff. Plante Moran also offers Interns and Contractors the option to elect health insurance under our contingent staff medical plan as of the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment in addition to limited paid time sick time. Seasonal staff are not eligible for benefits.
