What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Foreman position at Planters, Inc.?
We are seeking a motivated self-starter to join our team. As a foreman you will lead a crew of up to four in completing landscape installation projects. This includes preparing sites for the installation of trees, shrubs, perennials, and groundcovers. You would also occasionally install drainage, plant pots, prune trees and shrubs, and perform leaf and debris removal.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in the green industry.
- Ability to lift 50lbs on your own and tolerate variable weather conditions.
- Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation to work.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers.
- Ability to communicate with clients throughout a project with a positive, helpful, and thoughtful demeanor.
- Ability to work with and lead a team in a direct, firm, and clear manner.
- Proficient in solving problems as they might arise on any given job.
- Arrive to work on time and stay late as projects demand.
- Coordinate with the landscape manager to ensure complete clarity regarding project scope, implementation and details.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of proper horticultural methods for planting, pruning, ground preparation, etc.
- Adhere to and enforce all company safety policies & procedures.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Experience using heavy equipment (Dingo, Skid Steer, Mini-Excavator, Lull).
- Willingness to work an occasional Saturday.
