Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients across various age groups, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions. The FNP will work in a clinic setting, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
- Perform clinical procedures such as IV insertion, stitches, and etc.
- Manage acute illnesses, providing education and counseling to patients regarding their health conditions.
- Ensure infection control practices are followed in accordance with established protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in hospital medicine settings to coordinate patient care effectively.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance clinical skills, including cardiac catheterization techniques when applicable.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program; certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner is required.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP).
- Experience in a clinical setting preferred; familiarity with pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) practices is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of infection control standards and practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
- Ability to lift patients as necessary for examinations or procedures.
- Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation purposes.
- Must be DOT certified.
- Medical Cannabis Certification preferred but not required.
- Must be credentialed.
- 5 year experience required
