Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide coaching and training to actively working Vocational Rehab clients and clients receiving Supported Employment Follow-along services.
- Assist with the development of natural supports at the work site.
- Monitor and document client progress noting accomplishments and challenges to client goals.
- Maintain necessary documentation, data, and reports as required by CARF standards, funding sources, and agency.
- Advocate for and pursue services as appropriate to meet the individual needs of clients.
- Assist and provide Discovery Services as needed and assigned.
- Maintain the required productivity level at 85% client-specific productivity hours weekly based on caseload of active job coaching and follow-along.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with local employers, referral sources, clients, parents, co-workers, and others as appropriate.
- Become familiar with client-specific information by attending conferences and reading files prior to onset of coaching services.
- Attend and participate in department and agency meetings as required.
- Maintain awareness of local, state, and national trends that impact employment services.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the director or senior director.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s (BS/BA) degree in psychology, social work, education, or related field is highly preferred.
- High degree of professionalism in dealing with diverse groups of people, including clients, staff, and others.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team or independently.
- Ability to make appropriate, informed decisions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
- Well-developed organizational and time management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional discretion and adherence to confidentiality.
- Must be culturally competent, empathetic, and able to interact and develop rapport with a diversified population.
- At least 2 years of experience in job coaching via Indiana Vocation Rehabilitation.
- Experience with developmentally disabled populations preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged sitting and standing.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to various job sites and provide proof of insurance and a current driver’s license.
Salary & Benefits:
- $20/hr starting.
- Health insurance stipend up to $400 monthly.
- Paid time off / 6 holidays (once Full Time EE)
- 401K with 3% company matching.
- Work Location: In-person, throughout Lake and Porter County.
