Tutoring information:
- Job Type: In-person at the student's home
- Subject: Reading, Writing Tutoring and Math: Reading and Writing Tutoring: General reading and writing, Creative writing, Essay writing/review, and Math: General Math /Arithmetic
- Grade level: 3rd grade
- Hours per week: 2 hrs
- Availability: W,F - 5:30-7:30 , Su: 5:30-7:30 pm - 10-12 noon
- Learning disability: Spectrum high functioning
- Location: Houston, TX 77082, USA
Job Duties:
- Facilitate groups of classes and assist students in targeted subject areas
- Contribute to a friendly and productive classroom environment
- Model and promote a growth mindset and encourage a collaborative learning environment
- Create and manage resources
- Commute to school campuses
- Meet regularly with the supervisor
- Host workshops on selected topics
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., education, English, mathematics)
- Experience in teaching, tutoring, or education is highly desirable.
- Patience and the ability to work with students of diverse learning styles.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to the needs of individual students.
- Must be able to commit to schedules
- Has a personal vehicle
- Must be living in the area where classes are held
- Experience with children is preferred, but not required
