Garden Center Manager Wanted – Join Our Team!
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Garden Center Manager with a strong background in plant knowledge and retail management. As a key part of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing plant orders, managing sales, providing exceptional customer service, and leading our staff to success. You will also play a critical role in implementing new strategies to boost sales, manage accounts, and ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plant Management: Order plants and track inventory levels to ensure a well-stocked and organized environment.
- Sales Leadership: Actively manage and drive sales to meet targets, while ensuring excellent customer service.
- Team Management: Provide leadership, direction, and training to team members. Foster a high-energy, fun work environment that motivates the team.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to clients, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and building lasting relationships with contractors.
- Order Fulfillment: Process orders, provide quotes, and efficiently fulfill requests while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Safety & Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all policies and safety regulations are followed.
- Cashier Responsibilities: Handle transactions, including accepting payments and issuing receipts.
- Merchandising: Organize and display products effectively to attract customers.
- Problem Solving: Proactively address challenges, adapt to changes in business needs, and react quickly to client demands.
- Time Management & Organization: Demonstrate excellent organizational skills to manage tasks and deadlines effectively.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- 3 years of experience in retail, retail merchandising, or customer service.
- Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in a retail or plant-related environment.
- Basic math and computer skills (MS Office Suite, point of sale systems).
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- Ability to work flexible hours.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
