Position Summary:
This position is responsible for all payroll, benefits administration and human resource functions. Essential Functions:
- Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employee’s hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses, or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.
- Maintains employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details.
- Maintains accurate records of active job openings and received applications; manages internal and external job postings.
- Handles all employee conflicts and provides resolutions to managers. Works collaboratively with managers to diffuse situations that arise.
- Reviews applications for entry-level and non-exempt positions; conducts and/or schedules preliminary interviews.
- Track all time and attendance violations.
- Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence.
- Performs all administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status of health, dental, life, disability, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers.
- Plan and support company-wide information meetings such as open enrollment, new hire orientation, and meetings to announce or discuss changes in retirement or benefit plans.
- Plans company events and luncheons as requested.
- Files all required Workers Comp and OSHA forms, and postings, and tracks all OSHA recordable accidents.
- Conducts or assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, payroll audits, and other compliance reviews.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in business or human resource management is preferred. Will consider an individual with a sufficient level of coursework or experience beyond high school to obtain the necessary accounting and clerical skills required for the position.
3 years of experience in Human Resources and/or Payroll Administration.
2 years of experience in Employee Resolution
2 years of experience in Benefit Administration
Qualifications
Required to have strong written and verbal control of the English language, the ability to communicate effectively with other departments, and can be clearly understood. The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals is required. Must have the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, as well as develop and interpret graphs.
Intermediate personal computer skills and experience in Microsoft Office applications or similar software are required. IQMS experience a plus. Must have the ability to effectively prioritize, organize, multi-task, and be detail-oriented. Good organizational skills and communication skills. Should be able to meet deadlines, follow through on commitments, and take corrective action when appropriate.
Additional Requirements
Some travel may be needed so must have valid drivers license. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
