POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the acceptance of products according to customer specifications; and acts as support within the Quality Department performing assembly activities, inspection, inspectors, and daily quality essential activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Able to perform clean room particulate monitoring and result documentation.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with company safety guidelines, including but not limited to: safe operation of all machinery, tools, equipment, proper use of safety devices and maintain housekeeping standards
- interpret and inspect to quality control plans.
- Perform inspections for start-up first piece approval, in-process production, last piece inspection and shipping document verification.
- Accurately documents and record inspection results.
- Perform dimensional and functional testing using various equipment.
- Perform incoming inspections on raw materials.
- Identify non-conformances and initiated Nonconformance reports.
- Communicate with Quality / Manufacturing Manager and Shift Supervisor when non-conforming processes and/or product are identified.
- Understand and comply to Quality Alerts
- Ensure safe working environment at all times.
- Other duties as assigned by QC Supervisor.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required and FDA/ISO 13485 or ISO-9001 experience is preferred. Must have the ability to effectively use tools associated with ensuring product quality, including but not limited to: calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers, indicators, gage pins, gage blocks, height and pin gages, and precision optical equipment.
A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in inspection and measurement with ISO standards is preferred, Experience with FDA/ISO 13485 medical manufacturing environment is a plus. Will consider experience with ISO-9001 as well.
Qualifications
Must have strong written and verbal control of the English language, with the ability to communicate effectively and be understood by others. Mathematical ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals with the ability to compute ratios, rates, and percentages is required. Must have reasoning ability and intermediate to advanced computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office.
Additional Requirements
Physical demands require standing, walking, and sitting and must have the manual dexterity to use hands and fingers.
Work Schedule/Hours
Day shift 6:00 am - 6:00 pm
Night shift 6:00 pm - 6:00 am (next day)
12-hour shifts, rotating schedule 2-2-3.
