POSITION REQUIREMENTS (Required Tasks)
- Provide leadership and development for HR and Safety staff
- Manage employee relations, training and development, compliance, policy development and succession planning
- Oversee safety, recruitment, performance management, payroll, compensation and benefits, employee recognition
- Work with management team as strategic partner to lending HR expertise and best practices
- Lead and assist with employee relations opportunities, communications and events
- Responsible to measure department performance through metric tracking and analysis
- Research and manage opportunities for new hire and training grants
- Collaborate with HR and management team to evaluate staffing levels, employee utilization and organizational efficiency
- Partner with brokers to evaluate and recommend cost-effective and competitive health and benefit plan options
- Manage 401(k) plan to ensure fiduciary responsibilities are met
- Stay current on HR and Safety trends and updates, participate in local and state networking opportunities
- Oversee environmental and occupational health and safety programs
- Manage workers' compensation claims and administration of safety programs
- Provides leadership and direction to build a strong safety culture
- Develops and implements processes and training to maintain a safe workplace
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local health, environmental, and safety practices and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
