About The Role
As a Safety Representative at United Utility, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our team members and the communities we serve. Your expertise will directly impact our business by upholding the highest safety standards, fostering a culture of safety awareness, and helping us maintain our industry-leading position. Join us and be a part of a dynamic team dedicated to excellence in the construction industry. This position will be responsible for the Amarillo, TX and New Mexico area.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and oversee safety programs and policies on construction sites.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide safety training to employees and contractors.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, analyzing root causes and recommending preventative measures.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety into all aspects of construction.
Key Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in the transmission and distribution industry and 2 years in safety.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft office.
- A commitment to promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment.

- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP)
- Certified Occupational safety Specialist (COSS)
- Excel experience
