The BOM Configuration Analyst will be responsible for managing the BOM for the PLASSER AMERICAN production line and its variety of configurations. The analyst will track and manage the introduction of new part numbers and BOMs released from engineered systems.
Essential Job Functions
Creation and management of new and existing part numbers as well as converting old part numbers into a new part numbering system.
Creation of new BOM and maintaining existing BOM.
Track and manage a product release system for production implementation against established milestones.
Work with Production Managers, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Assembly teams to ensure and validate BOM accuracy and structure.
Produce tracking logs of changes and push open action items to closure.
Carry out periodic BOM auditing activities liaise with the production floor.
Play a key role in new product introduction activities.
Assist Purchasing and Engineering as needed in building and/or troubleshooting BOM costs.
Assists in special projects as required.
Qualifications
Associate degree or operations background is strongly desired.
APICS training and/or certification is a plus.
2+ years of operating in a production environment.
Manufacturing-related production experience is strongly preferred.
PLM Windchill or related Experience is a plus.
Modern MRP/ERP AS400, SAP or related Experience is a plus.
3+ years of ERP/MRP experience (multi-level BOM structure and creation).
Understanding of basic Supply Chain operating principles.
Must have excellent analytical skills with a good work ethic and verifiable track record.
Advanced PC skills, proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work closely within cross-functional teams to perform tasks with precision and within required time frames.
Ability to work in a meticulous manner with the desire for continuous improvement and a positive attitude.
Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus
