At Plastech Corporation, we are seeking an experienced Toolmaking and Machining Professional to join our team. As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for building, repairing, and revising in-house fixtures and jigs as required by Engineering, Assembly, and Molding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Built, repaired, and revised in-house fixtures and jigs
- Performed preventative maintenance activities and repairs on current in-house production tools and fixtures
- Ensured accurate documentation of work performed in IQMS
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a rotating schedule with opportunities for advancement. External candidates are eligible for a $500 bonus after 90 days of employment, subject to meeting performance and attendance requirements.
Requirements:
- A 2-year technical school certificate or diploma in tool making or machine tool technology
- Master Cam experience beneficial but not required
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in plastic injection tooling revisions and repair
- Print reading skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Strong knowledge of tooling required
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English job instructions
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
