MATERIAL HANDLER
Plastic Design International is a family-owned & operated manufacturing company celebrating our 44th year in business. We are looking for a Material Handler. If you have a positive attitude and the qualifications please come join our team.
Duties include:
- Direct material handling, scheduling and reporting.
- Interface with Production Coordinator and/or Production Shift Leaders to support Production.
- Assist Production Shift Leaders with material close-out issues.
- Receive materials for new and continuing jobs from the warehouse.
- Prepare material for use through the processes of drying, color mixing, and regrinding, loading the appropriate apparatus connected to the injection mold machines, refilling as necessary to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Track materials either in process or in storage in materials area.
- Prepare all necessary equipment for use by cleaning, adjusting controls and locating.
- Forecast in-process jobs, ensuring priorities for additional materials necessary to continue without interruption.
- Make simple adjustments or repairs such as realigning belts or replacing rollers.
Qualifications:
- Plastic Injection Molding experience a plus.
- General computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Good work ethic.
- Works well both independently and with a team.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
