AUTOMOTIVE PROGRAM MANAGER
An Automotive Tier 1 client is seeking a Program Manager to lead cross-functional teams through the launch of complex manufacturing programs. This role is ideal for someone who excels at coordinating engineering, operations, and customer deliverables while maintaining accountability across timing, cost, and quality metrics.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Program Manager will be responsible for driving program success from award through launch. This includes coordinating launch activity across departments, managing customer relationships, and ensuring execution against program timelines and financial targets. The ideal candidate brings experience in manufacturing program launches and knows how to drive alignment, accountability, and results in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead cross-functional teams to meet program objectives including timing, budget, and quality goals.
- Establish and maintain program timelines, open issue logs, and phase gate reviews.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with customers, maintaining strong communication and ensuring expectations are met.
- Monitor program performance and initiate corrective actions to address timing or financial variances.
- Support quoting of new business and maintain awareness of program financials throughout the lifecycle.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and supply chain to ensure successful product launches.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts and lead implementation of new product or process enhancements.
- Support and coach team members to ensure alignment and execution of responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years experience managing automotive program launches
- Experience in Injection Molding, Painting, and Assembly processes highly preferred
- Familiarity with open issue tracking, phase gate reviews, and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Experience with program financials, quoting, and cost tracking.
