Responsibilities of the Quality Manager
- Manage the quality system, manual and procedures.
- The Quality Manager analyzes nonconforming incoming and manufactured materials, establishes root cause of the problem, and implements preventative or corrective actions.
- Participate in quality audits, document results, implement corrective or preventative action when needed.
- The Quality Manager will establish process controls such that all manufactured products conform to all company and industry quality and regulatory agency standards.
- The Quality Manager will work closely with the lab and the manufacturing plants to ensure the appropriate tests are being performed and that the appropriate equipment is in place for testing.
- The Quality Manager or will be heavily involved with customer required or agency- required testing.
- The Quality Manager will ensure documentation and maintenance of Corrective/Preventative Action Plans, Customer Complaints, and Vendor Complaints. Responsible for follow up to ensure timely resolution of complaints.
- The Quality Manager will be responsible for leading the Quality Assurance department and all of its employees
Qualifications for Quality engineer
- 4 year degree with CQE, CQM preferred.
- 3 years of high volume, heavy industrial manufacturing experience, with a very strong preference for plastics experience.
- 5 years experience as a Quality Engineer or Quality Manager
- 3years experience working with ISO standards, documentation, and quality manuals
- Process and quality improvement experience with knowledge of 6-Sigma, Kaizen, SPC and Process Control (how to measure, track analysis and initiate improvement). Ability to acquire and analyze data gathered in improvement initiatives.
- Experience participating in Quality Audits, and preventative and corrective actions.
Base Salary around $100-120K, with handsome Quarterly bonuses bringing total compensation possible up to near $180K
Salary : $100,000 - $170,000
