What You’ll Do
As a Sales Engineer, you will be the technical expert and trusted partner for clients in the water and wastewater resources sector. Your work will ensure product solutions meet customer needs while driving project approvals across the region.
- Collaborate and Advise: Partner with contractors, consulting engineers, municipal agencies, and government organizations to drive product adoption.
- Present and Advocate: Deliver technical presentations to municipalities and consulting firms, demonstrating product value and innovation.
- Stay Engaged: Represent the company at industry conferences and committees to keep ahead of the latest trends and innovations.
- Field Presence: Travel regularly across your territory (Minnesota to Indiana and Kentucky) to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders. The majority of the customers are located in the Chicago area.
What We’re Looking For
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering (or related fields).
- Experience: 5–10 years of experience in engineering, technical sales, or project management with a focus on water/wastewater or civil infrastructure.
- Relationship Builder: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to maintain strong client relationships.
- Travel Enthusiast: Willingness to travel 50% of the time within a four state region, with a home base near Chicago or a major city in the territory.
