Plastic Molding Technology (PMT) manufactures high precision plastic parts for automotive, telecommunications, medical device, renewable energy, and industrial customers. The primary manufacturing processes are injection molding and thermoforming. PMT has ~100 injection molding presses at its two primary manufacturing locations in El Paso, TX and Centennial, CO (a suburb of Denver). A third facility in Longmont, CO (a suburb of Denver) provides in-house repair and fabrication of tools & dies.

Role Description :
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team and provide employee relations support within the manufacturing environment at Plastic Molding Technology (PMT). The HR Generalist will collaborate with leadership and employees at all PMT locations to ensure that HR programs, policies, and initiatives are effectively supporting the company’s operational needs. This position requires travel between PMT’s El Paso, TX, and Centennial, CO locations.
What you’ll do :
Act as a point of contact for employee relations issues at all PMT locations, including addressing workplace concerns, conflict resolution, and providing guidance on company policies and procedures
Support the Senior HR Manager in conducting investigations into employee complaints, disciplinary actions, and grievances, ensuring adherence to company policies and labor laws at all PMT facilities
Collaborate with management at all locations to ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies, maintaining a positive and compliant work environment
Assist with the management of temporary staffing needs at all PMT locations, including placing temp workers in appropriate production roles
Oversee and support the temp payroll process by tracking hours, reviewing timesheets, and working closely with temp agencies to ensure timely and accurate payment across all PMT locations
Provide guidance and support for employees navigating leave programs such as Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) at all PMT facilities
Help implement training programs to ensure all employees and supervisors at PMT locations understand company policies and employee relations best practices
Assist with ADP audits, ensuring that employee data is accurate and that all payroll and HR processes are compliant with regulations across all PMT locations
Support the new hire process by assisting with onboarding, including preparing documentation, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed, and coordinating new hire orientations at all PMT locations
Lead the event committee by planning and organizing company events at all PMT locations, while also providing event-related reporting to the Accounting Department to ensure expenses and budgets are tracked accurately
Provide HR support to departments within the plastic molding production environment at all locations, addressing workforce challenges and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards
Perform other duties as assigned
What we’re looking for :
Experience in supporting investigations into employee complaints, disciplinary actions, and grievances, ensuring compliance with company policies across multiple locations
Experience managing temporary staffing needs and overseeing temp payroll processes across various locations
Experience administering leave programs such as STD, LTD, FMLA, and FAMLI at multiple locations
Familiarity with ADP auditing processes and ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance across all PMT locations
Experience assisting with new hire onboarding processes at various locations
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee issues with professionalism
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
3 years of experience in an HR generalist role, with a focus on employee relations, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings, such as plastic molding or injection molding
Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR practices, and conflict resolution techniques
Proficient in HRIS systems, ADP, and MS Office Suite
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, 24 / 7 manufacturing environment, understanding the unique challenges of the plastic molding industry across multiple locations
PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus
10% - 20% Travel will be required between PMT’s El Paso, TX, Centennial, CO, and locations
Bilingual preferred, Spanish
