Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized medical receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, ensuring a smooth patient experience, and providing clerical support in a busy medical environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in medical software, and a strong understanding of medical terminology.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients as they arrive at the facility.
- Schedule and confirm appointments using medical scheduling software.
- Maintain accurate patient records and files, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Process patient information, including insurance verification and medical coding.
- Handle incoming calls, addressing inquiries or directing them to the appropriate staff member.
- Assist with billing processes, including medical billing and coding tasks.
- Utilize Nextech software system for patient management.
- Ensure the reception area is organized and welcoming for patients.
Experience
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar clerical role is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical billing, coding (ICD-10), and insurance processes is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using computerized systems for scheduling and record management.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
