Job Purpose: Mechanical and maintenance needs of all equipment and operations in a blow molding plant.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all operational equipment including: blow molding machines , dryers, thermolators, chiller/tower, air compressors, and facility infrastructure.
• Facilitates process set-up and start-up
• Collaborate with others on capital equipment features and new mold designs
• Oversee tool maintenance
• Safe, efficient, and timely completion of mold changes and set-ups, preventive maintenance, and breakdowns.
• May Establish and maintain written maintenance procedures, including the preventive maintenance program including any necessary safety and review procedures.
• Reports to manager the need to purchase repair parts and other supplies in order to keep the facility functioning at full production
• Maintain safe working conditions at all times
• Oversee mold maintenance and changes
  
  

Responsible for training of Maintenance Technicians

• Practice and maintain efficient housekeeping
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years maintenance mechanic experience
• Technically sound in troubleshooting a wide variety of equipment
• Ability to read schematics and blue prints
• Technical certification in electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics preferred
• Ability to communicate written and verbal English
• Forklift qualified
• Ability to follow directions and meet deadlines
• Detailed and results oriented
• Knowledge of basic computer skills
  
  

Physical Demands

• Must be able to spend 90% of the work day walking and standing
• Ability to climb and move around on machinery
• Ability to kneel, stand or bend for long periods of time and the ability to lift 50-75 pounds.
  
  

Work Environment

• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment
• Ability to work in a higher noise level facility
• Ability to work with non-toxic fumes that are present at times during the work day
  
  

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour
