Founded in 2000, Plastics Plus (Formerly known as Piper Plastics LLC) specializes in Custom Plastic Fabrication, CNC Machining and Distribution.
Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, we are a preferred Minority-Owned business of the design and hospitality industries, servicing trade shows, night clubs, hotels, and restaurants nationwide.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
· Operate CNC machine, drill, drill press, saw, jigsaw, table saw, sander, router, belt sander, grinder, heat bending, sand buffing and flame polish.
· Read, understand and work from blueprints.
· Cut, assemble and quality check before releasing a job
· Use hand tools and measuring devices in the performance of work
· Move material using a forklift to gather parts and materials to complete the project
· AUTO CAD reading and computer programming for CNC machine
· Accountable for maintaining inventory and utilizing materials for maximum output and reduced waste.
· Keep areas clean and up to OSHA standards
· Cleaning, quality control and tool maintenance
· Perform other duties as directed by leaders and management
· Actively participate in department safety, demonstrate excellent safety practices and behaviors which conform to all safety policies and procedures
· Must always have a high awareness for safety
Required Qualifications
· Knowledge of various materials and how to work with them including plastic and wood.
· The ability to read and interpret blueprints to properly fit all products
· Has worked with bonding solutions including glue, solvent, silicone and other adhesives.
· Successful completion of an internal fabrication test
· The ability to set up work and determine operation sequence as well as correctly estimate and communicate job times.
· The ability to calculate formulas using basic mathematics and standard U.S. and Metric Measurements, work with fractions and ability to read tape measure.
· The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues
· The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner
· At the end of 90 calendar days, the candidate must be able to maintain an acceptable level of production, quality and attendance.
Highly qualified candidates will also possess:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Graduation from an accredited trade school for CNC
1 years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
Forklift certification
The ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment
Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
