What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Representative position at Plastics Resources Inc?
Plastics Resources, Inc. of Logan, UT is currently hiring for a motivated full-time Sales Representative to help manage and grow our small extrusion and thermoforming segments, particularly our ESD Packaging Solution segment. We are manufacturing industry leaders and believe that hard work can also be fun!
About the Position:
This is not your typical sales position. We are looking for an individual with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, or engineering related fields. The ideal candidate must be able to understand complex part drawings and be able to assist customers in design choices based on our manufacturing capabilities. Experience with plastic manufacturing is helpful but not required. It is preferred that the candidate have exposure or an understanding of electronic components like semiconductors. Each day will be filled with variety and a new set of problems to solve for. Work with customers that are located around the world and build relationships that will last for years to come. We are a fast-growing manufacturer and are looking for the right team member that wants to help facilitate future growth.
Wage:
Hourly Rate Commission - Depends on Experience
Hours:
Hours can be flexible. Part-Time 20-30 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Find new customers through outreach efforts and from Company initiated lead-gen programs
- Grow business from existing customer base
- Manage assigned business accounts
- Help develop and execute growth strategy for manufacturing segment
- Hit sales growth targets
- Occasionally travel to visit customers
- Work closely with customers and internal teams to meet internal & external needs
Required Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to read prints for parts and distinguish between standard and metric measurements
- Proficient with computers and general office suite programs
- Capable of using CRM to generate new business and manage existing business and pipeline
- Exposure or basic understanding of electronic components preferred
- Basic understanding of plastic thermodynamics is helpful
