Injection Molding Supervisor - PSC92624 - Akron, OH

Salary: $50,000 - 80,000 Base Benefits

Schedule: Full-time / 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift available

We have an injection molding company based near the Akron, OH region that is in need of three skilled Production Supervisors to lead injection molding manufacturing operations during each shift. The production supervisor will report to the Operations Manager and be responsible for managing a team of operators, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise a team of injection molding machine operators. Provide guidance, support, and coaching to ensure optimal performance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards. Conduct regular inspections of molded parts and address any deviations from quality requirements.
• Oversee maintenance activities for injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment. Coordinate with maintenance staff to schedule preventive maintenance and address equipment breakdowns promptly.
• Monitor raw material inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements. Implement lean manufacturing principles and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance.
• Prepare production reports, performance metrics, and other relevant documentation as required by management.
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is REQUIRED. Degree or trade school certification is a PLUS
• At least 5 years of injection molding manufacturing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role is required.
• Strong technical knowledge of injection molding processes, equipment, and materials.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long durations of time, and perform other physical tasks as required.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and process optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing environments.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime if needed.
