Key Responsibilities
- Drive fabrication, and assemble injection molds according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Safely operate various CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and drills. Additional experience using EDM machinery is a plus.
- Perform routine maintenance, repair, and modifications on existing molds to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and refine mold designs for new products.
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify mold dimensions and ensure accuracy as well as quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mold performance and production defects.
- Maintain detailed records of mold maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve mold-making processes and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in mold making, machining, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Injection Mold Maker or in a similar role.
- Must be computer-literate. Prior experience using CAM software or SolidWorks is a plus.
- Strong understanding of injection molding processes and materials involved.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time as well as lift or maneuver heavy mold components up to 60 lbs.
