We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team and play a critical role in consolidating PLASTILENE's position as a strategic supplier in the flexible barrier packaging industry across North America. This is a dynamic, full-time role based primarily in Washington Court House, OH.
We are looking for a **Production Operator **to support the operation of production machinery, ensuring that it works safely and effectively. The production operator sets up, monitors, and adjusts machinery so it can be used efficiently to manufacture quality conforming materials, and ensure production rates in line with production forecasts. The responsibilities of the production operator range from the feeding of the raw materials to the packaging of the product following the standard operation procedures.
Key TASKS, DUTIES and RESPONSIBILTIES include:
Setup the production equipment and supplies before executing the manufacturing orders according with the production plan.
Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing, following safety procedures and company policies.
Ensure that equipment is maintained in good and safe working condition.
Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions, and repairs.
Audit equipment maintenance to ensure production capacity and quality.
Provide assistance to junior operators in their assigned responsibilities.
Perform production and performance reports following SOPs.
Work under the guidance of the Operations Manager and complete the assigned duties in a timely manner.
Execute the product inspection plans, records, and comply with quality specs.
Operate trucks and other industrial vehicles to transfer the production equipment between warehouse and working area.
Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
Contribute to waste reduction management programs.
Identify and report unsafe condition or abnormal to the Operations Manager immediately.
Maintain the work area and machinery clean, safe, and organized.
Properly use the equipment and personal protection elements received during the working day and keep them in good condition, in all places where the work is assigned, complying with Industrial Safety regulations.
Comply with the safety standards and responsibilities established in the company according to the work carried out in the position.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
- Minimum High school diploma or general education degree (GED)required, or equivalence of education and basic training
- Machinery operation preferred
- Basic Computer skills
- Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement; ability to use concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios.
- Ability to perform team-working.
- Minimum 1-year of experience working at floor level in manufacturing plants.
AUTHORITY/DECISION-MAKING:
Enforce Safety Rules and Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) Machinery startup or shutdown according with Safety, Quality or Maintenance Issues. Operation Conditions fine tuning.EDUCATION
