We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team and play a critical role in consolidating PLASTILENE's position as a strategic supplier in the flexible barrier packaging industry across North America. This is a dynamic, full-time role based primarily inWashington Court House, OH.
The ideal candidate will execute the roll as Extrusion Plant Head, who is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the extrusion, and slitting operations ensuring production efficiency, quality standards, safety protocols, and machinery reliability are met. This role involves managing a team of operators, monitoring equipment, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management :
Supervise the daily operations of the extrusion and slitting processes to meet production schedules.
Monitor and adjust production processes to maintain product quality and minimize waste.
Ensure equipment is functioning optimally and oversee preventive maintenance activities
Team Leadership :
Lead and manage a team of extrusion operators, slitting operators, and support staff.
Schedule and assign tasks to ensure adequate staffing for each shift.
Provide training and development for team members on extrusion and slitting processes, and safety practices.
Quality Control :
Ensure products quality specifications and standards are met as per manufacturing orders requirements..
Conduct regular inspections and audits of production lines.
Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any deviations or issues.
Health & Safety :
Enforce compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure staff are trained on proper use of equipment.
Respond promptly to any safety incidents and implement corrective actions.
Process Improvement :
Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and other efficiency-boosting practices.
Work with engineering and maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance.
Qualifications
- Education :
Technical degree or bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
5–10 years of experience in a manufacturing or extrusion environment.
3–5 years in a supervisory role is preferred.
