What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Technician 2nd Shift position at Plastipak Careers?
Plastipak Production Technicians operate equipment to manufacture a variety of plastic containers in a clean and safe work environment. Associates take pride in maintaining our high standards of quality products and our positive team culture.

You Will
- Operate production equipment in a safe manner
- Monitor production & make adjustments to equipment, as needed
- Perform a variety of tasks, such as inspect & remove plastic containers with visual defects or packing products for distribution
- Grow your knowledge and skills through a wide-variety of training & on-the-job experiences
You Have
- Able to work 2nd shift.
- Able to work overtime as needed
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Able to use basic hand tools, such as wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, etc.
- Mechanical, electrical or other technical/machine operation ability. This can be experience gained through paid or unpaid work.
- Strong interpersonal skills and desire to be a productive team member
- Physical requirement includes able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
You’ll Earn
- $20 per hour
- $1 per hour Shift Differential for 2nd Shift
