You Will
- Report food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action
- Initiate action for food safety issues
- Observe mechanical devices in operation and trouble shoots to locate causes of trouble, specifically compressors and refrigeration.
- Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repair or replace defective parts. Install special functional and structural parts in devices.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment.
- Lubricate and cleans parts.
- Start devices to test their performance.
- Perform work in a safe manner, and is responsible for following all safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout procedures.
- Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices GMP rules.
- Maintain high standards relating to area housekeeping.
- Communicate effectively with Team Leaders, Production Technicians, and other plant personnel.
- Have the authority to place product on hold.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
You Have
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience maintaining manufacturing equipment.
- Experience with Gem Wheel, Husky, Sidel, Palletizer & Airveyor is preferred.
- Solid hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical knowledge, along with the ability to troubleshoot & problem solve
- Ability to interpret technical & operational documents, including manuals, blueprints, schematics
- ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on aerial platforms up to 20 feet with or without reasonable accommodation
You'll Earn
- $20-25 per hour, based on qualifications, education, and experience
- Night shift includes a shift differential of $1.00 per hour
