The role of an Electrical Controls Specialist at Plastipak Holdings requires troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production machinery in a high-speed manufacturing facility. You will research and analyze ideas for system improvements, with success demonstrated by meeting safety and quality standards while reducing waste and increasing productivity.

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing electrical maintenance, including screw tightening, wire tracing, amperage readings, and infrared scans
- Troubleshooting breakdowns of industrial packaging production machines
- Completing continuous improvement projects to meet production and customer needs
- Designing and installing controls upgrades for obsolete PLCs using RS 500 and 5000 software
- Designing and installing safety controls upgrades to protect workers and machines that meet or exceed industry requirements
You will be expected to follow and promote Plastipak's core values and complete required safety and electrical troubleshooting training. Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership, and team building abilities are also essential for this role.
