About the Role
We are looking for experienced individuals who can oversee teams of 4 or more people in a manufacturing environment. As a Group Leader, you will be responsible for resolving machinery and quality problems, managing team members' daily activities, and inspecting line set-ups to ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Responsibilities
- Resolve machinery and quality problems in the production area.
- Manage team members' daily activities, assuring the team is achieving safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Inspect line set-ups and continuously monitor operations and supplies.
- Monitor changeovers, productivity, and scrap.
- Coordinate and prioritize work assignments and training, guiding and developing Associates.
- Monitor process and production, leading the team to resolve issues and identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead employee relations.
- Facilitate communication between leaders and your team.
Requirements
- Able to work a rotating schedule with 12-14 days off and 2 long weekends every month.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- At least 1-year experience overseeing teams of 4 or more people in a manufacturing environment.
- Great social and interpersonal skills to relate with and motivate people.
- Proficient operating a computer to enter and retrieve data.
- Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of 6S and continuous improvement desired.
